To turn the tides,
And the hands of Fate,
To burn the bridges
And break the gates,
To dance upon
A moon-lit sun,
To glide with wings,
Or be bold and run,
To seek and to find,
To lose and then hide,
To raise your voice
In the eventide,
To behold stars’ glimmer,
And the shift of the sun,
To see a kindness,
Then realize there’s none,
To breathe the air,
To shift with the breeze,
To be and do all -
Is Destiny seized.
Soothing with words,
Seething in vain,
Reviewing the past,
Learning from pain.
Finding like minds,
But being alone,
It's hard to be kind,
When you don't know the tone.
So without guidance,
And lost to the fray,
I'll sink into self,
And turn night into day.
Four needles
Point to the sky,
Four lines,
To hide what we bide,
Four lines,
Eclipsing through you,
Four lines
To see what you’d do.
“Would you like to play a game?” she asked the boy.
He raised his eyebrows suspiciously at her. “What kinda’a game?” he slurred at her through his lisp.
She held up her hands, palms facing him. “What do you see?” she asked him, ignoring his question.
“Nothin’. Just yer stupid hands,” he answered, frustrated again.
She smiled back at his frown. “Look closer.”
He leaned in, squinting his eyes. “Nothin’ still, lady. Quit wastin’ my time.” He got up off the ground, dusted the dirt from his shorts, and trotted off to his group of gangly friends.
She smiled to herself. They just don’t want to try, do they?
On a day as dark as night,
With sun hidden out of sight,
When the shadow of the moon,
Smells of her perfume -
On that day you’ll see,
Then revel full of glee,
That my prophecy rang true -
And men will meet their doom,
For they have lived their lot -
Stealing fire from her spot,
And when it’s given back,
They will know what they did lack…
For stealing from the Gods
Is the Gravest Sin…
And with this new reset,
Man begins again…
One body, one soul,
One voice & one mind,
Never again
To be two of a Kind.
I felt all alone,
Until I found you,
And your kindness, compassion -
Your love, all shone through.

Did I know comfort or trust,

I thought I could change
All the wrongs in my life,

And calculated their cost,

Seize the wounds

I met you on my journey,
Ages and aeons ago,

I commiserate with Silence,
As love exacts its toll,
But I will keep the Promise,
I made once, long ago.
I’ve seen it all before,
And it begins again:
The blood, violence, and lust,
Of very powerful men.
They seek it as they did;
The cycle is renewed;
Look to the past,
For the future you.
Learn to be braver,
Than you thought you could;
Even if you cannot save her,
You will see that you are good.
And when our fates are set,
No matter where they go,
I wish you the best;
This is all you need to know.
To be pushed, then pulled,
Then thrown away. . .
I thought I knew you,
But I didn’t that day.
It hurt my heart

Only to be chained
With bonds of Misery.

Tranquil Reflections
On all I see and do,
Tranquil Deflections
As the winds blow through.
I think I smell a tempest,
I can hear it in the breeze,
And it is time to reflect
On my soul’s dis-ease.
Once I found a friend,
A friend within myself,
But upon further thinking,
I put it on the shelf.
And now I sit alone,
Contemplating whom to be,
As I sit and reflect,
Breathing tranquilly.
And though life may be hard,
I gift mine now to you,
Willing at the last
To do what I must do.
I will balance Karma,
And right where I went wrong,
And sing in darkened hour
Of my own dirge song.
I know I’ve died before,
Not very long ago;
I know I’ll die again,
It was always to be so.
But. my dear, don’t fret,
One day we’ll meet again,
Two halves joined as one:
The moon and rays of sun.
And when I have no one,
I will turn to you:
A family divined from gods
I channel unto you.
And I will resurrect
By the evening dew
The souls you once knew well -
I give their lives to you.
We will travel in the dark,
Under cover of the night,
And though we wring our hands,
We do not feel fright.
A family like this,
There has never been before:
A long forgotten prophecy,

If the Liminal Could Be True,

A Climb through Shadow,
A Doorway to Fate,
Where is the Past,
If the Future is Late?
What Would You Do,
To Earn Back Time?
Would You Clip Your Wings
And Crawl in the Grime?
If I Could Gift You
Control of Fate,
Would You Take Her Thread,
And Walk Through Hades?
Would You Hold My Hand,
In a Distant Land,
Or Would You Turn Your Back,
Because of What I Lack?
Either Way,
I Will Trust in You,
And Still I Bless
Everything You Do.
For What is Love
Without Trust?
And Without Trust,
There’d Be No Us.

A Dearth of Duality
Has Led Us to This Time -
A New Gate is Needed
To Bridge with the Divine,
For What was Never Heeded
Was Duality of Mind:
To Cleave Oneself in Two
Is the Greatest Kind.
And When You Bond to Yourself,
The Good and Bad Within,
You Rise, Transcendent,
Above A Body Full of Sin.
And When You Pass Your Test,
And Teach These Lessons Well,
New Knowledge and Insight
Will Be Yours to Tell.
