And I begged one day to come to you,
But you were not at home.
All the unsightly lessons
Rattled in my bones.
The rattling became a throttle
That thrust me straight ahead,
Into a world of darkness
Where Death loomed overhead.
But I held onto my light
(Though winds whispered in my ears),
But I held onto my light
As it dispersed all their fears.
As the clouds of emotion cleared
Judgement came for all,
And each was given due
What was meant before the fall…..
